Jennifer Baldwin, B.A. (Hons), B.Ed., M.Ed., CRI
Director of Education
Jennifer comes to CCVS with over 9 years of experience in the education field. She received a B.A. in Political Science from York University, a B.Ed. and M.Ed. from the University of Toronto, and is certified by the NCRA as a Court Reporting Instructor. She has worked in both international and domestic arenas with non-profit organizations, the public sector and private sector to develop and deliver both professional development training and academic learning programs. Her instructional focus has been in literacy, software, ESL and instructional methods. She has taught Phoenix Theory and several academic courses both in-class and online at CCVS and now serves as program administrator. |

Alexandra Bolintineanu, B.Sc. (Hons), M.A.
English Instructor
Alexandra comes to CCVS with over eight years of teaching experience in higher education. She received a B.Sc. in Computer Science and English from the University of Toronto. After some work in the corporate world, she returned to the University of Toronto for an M. A. in Medieval Studies. Currently, she is completing her Ph. D. in Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto. Her dissertation covers English literature about marvels and monsters from the eighth to the fourteenth century. Alexandra has taught university courses in Computer Science, in medieval European literature, and in English language and literature. When not working at CCVS, she is writing her dissertation or happily reading old books. |

Don Churchill, CRI
Instructor
Don spent the early part of his career working in Finance before switching to IT focusing on software support and instruction. He has been involved in corporate training for more then 20 years. Don is a Certified Adult Educator with a passion for helping his students to do their best. He is currently continuing his education because his philosophy is that you never stop learning and never should. His personal hobbies include travel to anywhere Disney related and spending time with his family and friends. |

Nancy Lee, B.A. (Hons), M.A., CRI
Instructional Designer
Nancy has worked in post-secondary education for over 4 years both as a classroom Instructor and as an Instructional Designer. She is experienced in eLearning, instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, course development, and learning management systems. Prior to joining CCVS, she worked as an online Instructional Designer and developed courses for clients such as Northeastern University, George Washington University, Kentucky Virtual University, Abilene Christian University, and Woodbury College. She has also worked as a Quality Assurance Auditor, evaluating online courses according to eLearning standards and best practices. Nancy holds a B.A. and M.A. in English and is a certified Court Reporting Instructor. She has an in-depth knowledge of Phoenix Theory and has been teaching theory at CCVS in both the in-class and online environments. |

Kelly Mercer, Diploma
Administrative Assistant
Kelly graduated with honours from Trillium College, Peterborough Campus in the Medical Office Assistant Program. She has worked mostly in the service industry but has confidence that her transferable skills, experiences, and characteristics will help guide her through her work at CCVS. Kelly hopes to contribute to the school by being there at all times for any need and to make student life more enjoyable through event planning. Also as a new member to the Toronto community, she looks forward to meeting many new faces and growing as a person through the exciting experiences to come! |

Lisa Marie Picken, B.A. (Hons)
Registrar
Lisa Marie comes to CCVS with 9 years of experience in education, working as an ESL teacher, manager, and recruiter. The majority of her experience has involved working with ESL students in a private college setting. Lisa Marie attended Queen's University where she majored in History. She also obtained her Business English certification to teach ESL and has had the opportunity to teach students in Osaka, Japan and Milan, Italy. Lisa Marie has spoken at hundreds of university and college events on the benefits of continuing education, and currently acts as the in-house website editor. Along with these skills, she brings a solid knowledge of the educational system within Canada. Lisa Marie assists each student with making decisions regarding their education and training. When Lisa Marie is not helping current and potential students, she enjoys taking care of her shih tzu Boo, going to the gym, traveling and reading. |
